Back in the Saddle Again... I hope

Yay, my new saddle arrived!

No, not for horses (I wish!). For my bicycle. Now I can add kilometers for IHC using my bicycle.

This saddle is designed specifically for women. The typical bike saddles are not designed for the wider hips of women and so their "sit bones" don't make the contact they should for supporting the weight of the body while cycling, which can cause a lot of pain and even serious soft tissue damage. This saddle was designed with a wider back so that the "sit bones" come in contact with the saddle and support the weight.

I really hope it works because I haven't ridden for a long time because all the padded seat covers, bicycle shorts, etc. were not enough to prevent the excruciating pain.

Are there any cyclists on the IHC team?

And with this post I should, at least, be caught up on my blog posts if nothing else.
