That’s Ergotism NOT Egotism.

Ergotism may be the source, or cause, of the Werewolf. Ergot is a fungus that grows on cereal grains and can cause hallucinations. Because these crops were grown and used by the lower classes in Medieval times this may be why werewolves seem to be a story of the peasants whereas vampires seem to be more of a monster of the upper class.

The above, brief, blog is written in response to a challenge issued by one of the I Ho Chuan team members: write a blog in 2 minutes. One of the suggested topics was werewolves. Challenge accepted!
