Had my first physiotherapy session last Saturday. We'll see how it goes. I have my exercises to do for that now.
Physiotherapy certainly makes for an interesting combination right now with the Sil Lum Seminars! I'm still feeling last Saturday morning's Sil Lum class. During that class the muscles in my legs got so tired I couldn't lift them as high or easily anymore. The muscle fibres just didn't seem to want to fire anymore. Come Monday's live classes at the Kwoon... well let's just say that when I got home after class that night I wasn't sure if I was going to be able to get out of my car without assistance.
I'm sure it's all good though. When you're on the other side of 50 the recovery just doesn't seem to be as easy as it used to be when I was a teenager doing competitive swimming. Hopefully recovery times will improve as I get more and more fit, but I recognize it will never be as easy as when I was a teenager.
Got some helpful advise from my one-on-one this past weekend that I look forward to applying for my spinning back kick. Have had to wait for my legs to hold me up properly before giving it a good try. Today may be that day, but I'm going to wait until after the live class just in case - I want to be able to make it through the class tonight... and get out of my car when I get home.
