Practice and Repetition

After drawing all the tigers the last little while I thought I would try my hand at trying to do one from memory. Up until now I've been relying on a lot of reference photos. Let's see if there is any "muscle memory". I'd say I need more practice! Yet I'm still pleased with the result even though there is a long way to go. More practice needed!

This reminded me of all the practice that we do in Kung Fu. Over and over again. Fine tuning here and there. Learning more. Building layers of knowledge. Building "muscle memory". Recently I've been trying to do a bit more of that (body permitting) with the stuff I'm really bad at such as spinning back kicks. Hopefully, I can make these better because my balance sure isn't helping.

Both my drawing and the Kung Fu should get better with repetition, as long as I also pay attention and use an"eye for detail" as Sifu Brinker often tells us. I hope so anyway.
