I’ve missed the last two weeks of blogging. Didn’t intend for it to happen. It just seemed like whenever I was planning to sit down and write the blog something else interrupted or took priority.
So, while I feel that my blogging has been more consistent than previous years there is still room for improvement. Not sure how to improve it yet. I scheduled time for it to be done, which has been working much better this year. I believe having an awareness of what was going on at the time will help me improve my scheduling ability in the future. That is where tracking has been helpful. I usually write down in my tracking spreadsheet what was happening during times like these.
Speaking of tracking happenings, back pain has kept me from doing situps. To be honest, it hasn’t been the only reason, some numbers having been lost to forgetfulness (so I need a reset there). Still, the back and neck have not been happy lately. Too much desk work and too much bending work out at the farm. Unfortunately, it is all work that needs to get done.
One of the things that took priority this weekend was getting the bee yard set up. We got the call telling us that we needed to arrange the time to get our new bees. May 8th is the date! So, depending on the weather I may miss class that day because of the timing for installing them in their hives. Late enough in the day that they don’t want to fly much, yet early enough to still be warm enough. That way they are set up ideally for their orientation flight first thing in the morning and, hopefully, don’t decide they want to move somewhere else. This makes the timing not good for getting to class that day. Mother Nature just doesn’t care what my plans are!
On that note, we finally got around to putting the chicken eggs into the incubator, so we should have some cute little fuzzy butts around again soon. It’s things like this that make me feel like spring might actually be here.
Still struggling to remember to write down my Random Acts of Kindness and my Nurturing Relationships.
Still probably too focused on the weapon form at the expense of spending time on my hand form. That said, I think I’ve worked out a way to improve the flow to the knee trap from the previous position. Just need to get to the point that I can do them properly without having to place the staff using my hands. I hope I don’t regret putting that knee trap in the form, but we were encouraged to put something in our forms that we find challenging, so I did.
