The Year of Pain & the Power of One

The year of the Ox has not been great, for many reasons. One of my reasons is that it is a year that involved a lot of pain that kept me from doing and completing my I Ho Chuan goals.

So, far I have never been able to complete my 50,000 pushups and situps in a year, which is one of the goals, because my body just won't let me. The same thing happened with my forms. However, if there is one thing the year of the Ox has taught me it is that I never will be able to do it if I keep breaking myself. So this year I'm embracing the power of one.

Have you ever noticed that setting a goal to do one thing doesn't feel like much? One pushup per day, one situp per day, one form per day. It isn't so daunting. I can do that! But what happens? When you do one, you tend to do more while your already there anyway.

My goal is to do at least one of each of the goals per day; not to overdo things and injure myself again. I am building towards the physical ABILITY to do 50,000 in a year.
