Unexpected Road Blocks

As some of you are aware, yesterday was stressful because my dog started having issues. I thought maybe he had a stroke - he had loss of balance, falling over to one side, weakness, and confusion. I called the vet but it wasn't until the evening that they were able to get back to me. Thinking straight wasn't exactly my forte and I spent much of the day doing rather mindless, keeping busy, tasks.

It was a road block!

I didn't do any of my (Kung Fu) training. Didn't even think of it, which is a shame because it probably would have helped!

Anyway, it turns out that he very likely has Geriatric (also called Idiopathic) Vestibular Disease and although it is "hard to watch", as the vet said, it should resolve in about 72 hours. I know he's an old dog, he's a shepherd cross and shepherds are only supposed to live between 9 and 13 years (according to sources I read), and he's now 13 and one month, but it's hard to watch a dog go so suddenly from doing everything full tilt up until the night before, then waking up the next morning to this.

Anyway, I feel like I can breath again, so hopefully I can get some training in today and that should help too. Zero, our dog, is resting and hopefully getting better.
