2025 02 23 – Week Four Goals

Since there should be fewer distractions this week I want to push for higher numbers than previously for the push-up and sit-ups equivalents. It’s only a matter of time before plans get sidetracked, as they always do, and it seems only prudent to work on getting some buffer now while the motivation, my body, and time allow. So, I’m aiming for:
· 2000 pushups (modified)
· 2000 sit-ups (modified)
· 50 weapon form
· 25 hand form
I don’t have specific goals for this week’s art because I’m not sure what my Art Mentor has in store for me. I just hope that he likes the new thumbnails that I’ve done. I do hope to start filling up pages in my physical sketchbook this week (I’ve been drawing digitally) as a way of increasing my visual library and drawing skills. Long term I would like to get comfortable drawing from life instead of photos, and drawing in front of people, which has always been nerve racking for me. Yet it’s hard to draw from life if you’re scared to draw in front of people.
While there are other goals for the year I am trying to do fewer things… at a time. This way I can focus my attention better on each thing rather than dividing my attention amongst many things. Plus one tends to get things done faster if you do fewer things at a time. This feels like it’s more in tune with “being present”. This is different, for me, than in previous years when I tried to pace everything equally throughout the year, which never got the results I wanted. So, I’m trying something new this year.
