My truck is finally fixed!

No wonder the quote at the repair shop was so high (over half what we paid for the truck) to replace the clutch . You have to remove the exhaust and drop the whole transmission to get at it. What a headache! My wonderful husband fixed it (you are me hero!) It feels nice to have more independence again.

I was privileged to be able to go to the Kwoon in person for Thursday's lesson. Oh it was good to be back!

Funny thing was, as soon as I stepped through the doors of the Kwoon, I was thrown back to my days of competitive swimming. You see bleach is being used to clean at the Kwoon. It's really interesting to see how much a simple scent can affect your mind! The scent of chlorine just put me there (swimming pool) in an instant. It really stunned me! When we're at the Kwoon we're supposed to be in the moment, concentrating only on Kung Fu, but it was really hard for me to do that because I felt so displaced, almost like being in two places at once.

Note: I hope, Sifus, that you understand this is not a complaint, merely an observation of my own reaction.

As you know I've been behind on my numbers but I discovered something about myself. I started to worry that with how behind I was that I might not be able to successfully complete requirements in the allotted time (especially the 50,000 pushups and situps). So I sat down and calculated the minimum daily amount I needed. Turned out to be about 195 per day. What I discovered was that 50,000 was scary, but doing enough to reduce my daily requirement by one or more was much more comfortable. Unfortunately by exhausting myself with the flooding cleanup etc. and therefore not doing my requirements for a couple days I now need 200 pushups and 199 situps per day. However yesterday it was 201 and 200 respectively. Hopefully today I can decrease it again for tomorrow.

So I'm celebrating the wins that I can. Hopefully you have some wins (big or small) to celebrate too.
