Set Backs vs. Progress

Finally decorated the front of my sketchbook. Figured a Bull snake in a tree suited it since I started the book during the year of the wood snake.

Circumstances were such that I wasn’t able to practice Kung Fu as much, but it looks like most of it’s been resolved. Should be able to get back on track now.

Contact Staff is coming along slowly. The neck wraps are becoming pretty reliable, and I was finally able to do stalls from one side to the other with no hands, but not reliably. Still keep dropping the staff pretty easily with stalls. More practice days should be possible once it’s not so cold, slippery, and wet outside, where there’s room to spin a staff. Once I get the stalls down my next thing to learn is the Halo.

About the only thing I’ve done with regularity, of my goals for this year, this past week has been drawing, I’m glad about the drawing, thrilled actually! but I need to balance that with the other things.
