This, Then That

As has been mentioned before, if I don’t do this, write in my personal journal, then that, everything else seems to stop working too. Hence, missed blog posts.
I’ve mentioned the exhaustion before. There was a lot of, do a little then lie down and rest, being exhausted and foggy brained in disproportion to the amount of energy exerted. Fortunately, that has gotten slowly better. I finally made it through a whole class without having to go sit down and rest (though it wasn’t a cardio heavy class). I’ve been taking it slow, not wanting to slide backwards by getting back into what used to be normal training for me.
My instructor and I discussed taking it slow and building up: more walking, no extra class, and stretching. Also, a slightly different approach to the breathing for sound focus, which seemed to help. For the past few days, I found myself doing more intense work in the garden, digging up saplings. Shovelling can be very hard work and yet I didn’t feel the need to go rest. Up until recently it had been mostly, walk, look, and plan.
So, I think it might be time to step it up a little bit more. At least the push-up and sit-up equivalents, and maybe some forms. Not a lot of them but enough to test where things are at, just a little each day.

Improve Flexibility: worked on it at least 33 times
Forward Bend: Not there yet, and made worse with the tiredness for some reason.
Deep Squat: Still can’t quite do it flat footed. I think it might be more the hips flexibility than ankle flexibility giving me issues at this point.

Dog Training: Mostly daily life stuff (reinforcing what’s already known) because of tiredness. “Au pied” (my command for heeling on the right) is starting to be an offered behaviour, especially from my boy. Could I have done this faster? Yes, but didn’t have the energy.
