Week 8 Evaluation — Exhausted

Well, that was a disaster of a week! In terms of goal accomplishment anyway.

 

Barely got anything done this past week. That nasty exhaustion that I’ve spoken of before hit and took several days. For those who don’t know, let me try to explain. At one of the SRKF Boot Camps I attended a few years ago we did a 2 km run followed by various activities such as doing as many kicks as you can in one minute (1 minute for each of the types of kicks), same with the punches, holding a horse stance for 5 minutes (or as long as you can), etc. Then after all of that try to do your forms properly. If you’ve done that, or something similar, and remember how you felt afterwards… by comparison, that’s NOT exhausted. I’m talking exhausted even into your bones. So tired that just sitting up makes you feel out of breath. So tired that you debate in your mind for even a moment whether it’s better to use precious energy to go to the bathroom or just stay where you are. To add insult to injury it also came with a headache. That’s what I’m talking about.

 

I’m so thankful for the ability to attend class online because with that going on I was still able to at least watch the class on Wednesday even though I could only do it while lying down. Thursday at least I finally had the energy to watch the class while sitting up and only had to take frequent rests during the day. Friday I was finally able to spend standing and walking, and even getting things done, but was thankful for places to sit down. Today seems better, so far, except that the headache is back.

Hand form: 0/25

 

None of my other goals were accomplished either. I even cancelled my Art Mentorship meeting this past week.
